Fashion Photography in Tampa
Tampa has become something of a regular stop for me — I've been taking on quite a few out-of-town photoshoots as I travel, since combining travel with photography is genuinely one of my favorite parts of this work.
This particular trip included a session with Alexandra, signed with Alexa Models, planned during the same visit as my ballet shoot with Vashti — when I'm traveling somewhere for one session, I like to make the most of the trip and see who else is around to collaborate with.
I found Alexandra through Instagram, where her portfolio showed real experience in front of the camera, especially with beach shoots — exactly the kind of session I had in mind.
Since Alexandra is a minor, having a legal guardian present is something I specifically require for every session with a model under 18, and her parents joined us for the shoot. They were friendly and easy to be around, and we ended up chatting through her wardrobe changes between setups — the kind of relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that tends to show up in the final images.
We shot at Davis Island Beach in the late afternoon, timed for golden hour — that warm, low light that beach locations do so well.
Alexandra's comfort in front of the camera showed immediately; she moved through poses and wardrobe changes with the kind of ease that usually only comes from real experience.
Florida sessions like this one don't happen often on my calendar — between my regular Chicago clients and a full schedule elsewhere, I can only take on a handful of out-of-town shoots each year.
