From Australia to Chicago Summer Intensive!
Meet Zali and Harriet! A sister duo who came all the way from Australia with their mom to attend Summer Intensive at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago. They were so full of energy and loved to dance! It was such a fun shoot as the light was gorgeous and they siblings were amazing to work with! This is part of the Chicago Summer Intensive Photoshoot Package.
Dedication of Dance Moms
Dance moms don't deserve the stereotype! Maybe I've just been lucky, but everyone dance mom I've ever worked with has been nothing short of incredible! Respectful, attentive, passionate about their children's dance education, and as dedicated as any moms...if not more...can be. For example, Jessica, the girls' mom, flew all the way from Australia so her girls can attend the Summer Intensive by Joffrey Chicago. I've taken that flight before...it took me 35 hours!
Different Personalities, Same Passion for Dance
Harriet seemed more of a free spirit and Zali has a bit of maturity about her, but both had big personalities and loved the photoshoot. Not only did they take directions well, but they also had their own ideas when it comes to posing. It makes you feel youthful when working with people who are full of life! A little bit of sibling bickering is unavoidable, but they go back to being fun loving kids right after.

The girls might not remember every detail of their trip to Chicago when they get older, but hopefully these photos will remind them of their time here. They might cringe a bit at their younger self, as all dancers do, but hopefully they see how much fun they were having and where their journey has taken them
